HELIOS Upgrade Instructions
In the HELIOS web UI navigate to: (1) Settings-> (2) Update Center and (3) select the “Upload” button. Browse to the current software “.MVRP” package on your computer and upload it.
You should see the following progress bar as the package is being uploaded.
After the package has been uploaded, you can then start the installation by (1) selecting the appropriate MVRP package in the drop down list and then (2) clicking “Start”.
During the upgrade, you will see the “Connection lost” message as HELIOS is performing the upgrade and restarting.
A short time after the update completes, the connection will reestablish and the browser will reconnect to the HELIOS GUI.
PX1 Upgrade Instructions
Once the firmware HELIOS has been updated, then the firmware for the PX1 Tile Receiver Cards may also be upgraded using a similar process. Upload the PX1 Receiver Card firmware (px1-xx.xx.x.xxx.mvrp) using the same process above and then (1) select it in the drop down list.
You will then be presented options for which tiles to update to the latest firmware. (2) Use the toggles to enable/disable which tiles are included in the firmware update and then (3) press the “Start” button in order to initiate the firmware upgrade process.
Network Switch Upgrade Instructions
HELIOS now includes the capability to upgrade the Netgear network switch firmware as easily as you can update the PX1 firmware. Upload the Netgear switch firmware package (helios-switches--M4200-10MG-PoE+xx.x.x.xx.mvrp) using the same process above and then select it in the drop down list.
You will then be presented with options for which switches to update to the latest firmware.
You can enable/disable which switches are included in the firmware update and then press the “Start” button to initiate the firmware upgrade process.
Update from the Cloud
HELIOS also offers the capability to download the installation packages from the HELIOS UI that has an internet connection. In the Update Center, use the (1) “Check for updates” button and (2) select the packages you want to download.
Once the package is downloaded, it will automatically populate into the selection drop down box. At this point, the user can initiate the update process the same as above.
