The integration enables HELIOS users to make real-time adjustments to the content displayed on LED walls using CDL values directly within Livegrade Studio. By leveraging the widely adopted Color Decision List (CDL) format—developed by the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC)—the integration ensures seamless exchange of standard colour correction data between production tools. Designed with the needs of cinematographers, virtual production system integrators, and live event professionals in mind, this collaboration between Pomfort and Megapixel delivers precise and efficient color control across the production pipeline.
Livegrade Studio
Livegrade Studio comes with support for interactive CDL control of HELIOS Megapixel. This feature enables the user to control CDL values inside the device that affects the processing of image on the LED wall. * Please note that this feature is only available in Livegrade Studio.
Setting up the connection
Once your HELIOS is running on a machine in your network, you can add the HELIOS as a device to a slot in Livegrade. To do so:
- Choose “Slots” in the main menu, “Add Device…”, and select “Add HELIOS Megapixel…”. In the same way, you can add the device through the device manager in Livegrade Studio.
- A window will appear that asks for the IP address of the machine running the HELIOS system. Enter the IP address, Username and Password.
- At “Grading”, you can choose between different ways of sending the look to the HELIOS system:
- “Interactive” for grading the look in the HELIOS system interactively
- “Manual” to upload the look to the HELIOS system manually (using the “Upload” button in the toolbar). Click “Add HELIOS Megapixel System” to finalize the configuration.
