Description
This guide outlines the HELIOS Health Alert "Crypto Key Missing".
Background
Each HELIOS compatible LED tile communicates directly with a Megapixel PX1 receiver card. Cryptographic authentication is used to verify tile authenticity, ensuring all tiles come from approved sources and meet Megapixel’s high standards for quality and reliability.
If any issues occur during the authentication check, users may see a HELIOS alert stating "Crypto Key Missing". These alerts can be seen under:
Health > Alerts
Devices > Display Devices > Alerts
Mapping > Tile Details
Troubleshooting
A Crypto Key Missing error typically indicates an issue with the handshake process between the HELIOS and PX1's crypto key. To resolve this, consider the following steps:
Perform a Power Cycle - In some cases, a simple reboot of the LED tile may resolve the issue and restore normal functionality.
Update HELIOS and Tile Firmware - Begin by updating all system components. Newer versions of HELIOS or tile firmware may support or incorporate changes that are incompatible with older firmware, potentially triggering this error.
Contact the Tile Manufacturer - if the issue persists, it may be necessary to reach out to the tile manufacturer for further assistance, as this could be indicative of a hardware level issue with the crypto chip on the tile.
If you continue to experience issues, please reach out to support@megapixelvr.com and include your system's log files for further assistance.
