Description
HELIOS Mapping is an extremely fast process. In a couple clicks, you can have all of your LED tiles mapped. In this article, we will show you a quick example of how to do it.
Mapping the wall
Follow the below steps to quickly get the wall mapped.
- Step 1: Select the panels to be mapped.
- Step 2: Select a primary cabling topology that matches the biggest section of wall.
- Step 3: In this case it was the primary portion of the wall that was cabled from top to bottom with homerun cables going from left to right (button clicked on the bottom).
- Step 4: Change the rows and columns into the correct values.
Groups
Using the Grouping features in HELIOS allows the user to control sections of screen independently. This is an essential feature for most applications.
Tile Notes
One really useful feature for settings up is Tile Notes. This allows the user to store any information about the tile they want. Flicker on the LED tile, bad driver chip, ethernet cable is flakey, are all good things to note for tracking down in the future.
The Tile notes are stored in the PX1 card, so keep that in mind when swapping around components.
